“The road goes ever on and on, Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow if I can.” ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Oh, what a blessing is to breathe the fresh air and to watch the sunrise!
I’ve been laying low for the last week, since I arrived in Romania.
I left China in a rush and thinking about all the good memories China gave to me, while making a promise to myself that I will come back on day.
Life after China is weird. I’ve been trying to re-adapt to the culture, the language as well and the fact that the only people staring at me are mostly handsome men (there’s plenty of hunks in Romania, believe me!).
But for me, the biggest difference was made when I arrived back at my mum’s place and I woke up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise and I could breath morning air for the first time in one year. Sometimes we forget how important little things actually are. Clean water, fresh air, watching a beautiful sunset or digging your toes into dirt.
That’s exactly what I did for my first days back in Romania: walked barefoot everywhere, watched the sunset every day while I was drinking my coffee and the sunset while I was exercising. I’ve been running with my dogs, read a book in the swing under the walnut tree or I just sat on the grass and watched the clouds. I loved it.
And because I write mostly about my life and what inspires me, today I’m going to share some photos of the animals my mum has around her house. Prepare to see chickens, dogs, a cat and lots, lots of green.
I think that taking it easy sometimes it’s a necessary good.
Over the next few weeks I plan to read more, see old friends and spend as much time in nature as possible.
Till the next time,
