“The only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open.” ~ Chuck Palahniuk
Today I want to talk about something that I’ve been applying to all the areas of my life. And even though sometimes I forget about it, something happened yesterday that put it into perspective again.
I’m talking about the fact that life is made up 10% of what happens to you, and 90% of how you react to whatever happened to you.
The fact that it all depends on you. We get all this things thrown at us every day, all this tests: all the bad news, people treating you badly, things not going your way.
It’s up to you how to react to it.
Not anyone else. It’s up to you if you choose to let it bring you down, and get depressed and cry in a corner about it.
Or it’s also up to you if you choose to make that your starting point.
The point where you pick the pieces up, you start fighting and live the life you imagine.
We’re all in this together.
We all have bad days.
We all have good days.
But don’t chase the future and dull on the past too much.. Remember that what you have is this moment, and this moment should be the most important of them all.
Remember, when things were bad, that moment of silence – that moment when only for a nano second you understand. You realise and are conscious that there is a bigger force than yourself our in this world.
That you are only a tiny molecule of that world. And by doing your part – by not giving in and choosing to fight – you contribute to the future of other people, just like other people, by choosing the fight – choosing the grind – play a part in your own little universe.
This is your time.
Don’t waste it.
Fight back. Change what you can change, but mostly adapt. Adapt your mind and body to different situations and people.
Be flexible like rubber, but don’t forget your true form – you are a Soul – you are a divine creature.
And when everything really seems overwhelming – that’s when you sit down and Breathe.
Just Breathe …
